Established in 1970, North Cave Playing Field was created, in trust, "for the purpose of a playing field and recreation ground for benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of North Cave and District in the East Riding of Yorkshire".
North Cave Playing Field hosts a variety of sports teams, events and services to the community of North Cave and District:
Football has been played here continuously since the field opened. Local and charity teams play throughout the year on a busy fixture list.
Cricket re-established itself at North Cave, after lockdown, with the arrival of the North Cave Coal Exporters Cricket Club (NCCECC).
The Play Area is hugely popular, not just with locals but with many visiting families. In need of a refresh, it is the subject of a major fund-raising push at the moment.
The social heart of the playing fields community. Low-cost membership for all residents and visitors, and home to many events and activities.
And, of course, the field is a wide-open green space for everyone to enjoy, with great views of the Yorkshire Wolds to the east.
